swedish for argument
UTS Gallery, Sydney | 23 October – 23 November 2012
Curator: Holly Williams
About the exhibition:
In an age where one in ten Europeans is conceived in a IKEA bed, it is hardly surprising that the pervasive influence of this flatpack giant has found its way into the visual arts. Swedish for Argument used IKEA as a departure point to examine ideas of production, ownership, ubiquity and need.
